Our Story

There was always a gap - one that Riya, founder of Fherie, couldn’t stop thinking about.

Indian beadwork and embroidery is some of the most beautiful craft in the world. Intricate, entirely hand-done, built on centuries of tradition. But the pieces that carried it only belonged to one world - cultural events, specific occasions, put away afterwards.

Never for a date night. Never for a girls’ dinner. Never for the holidays. Never for the moments where you just want to feel pretty and completely yourself.

Fherie exists because that gap didn’t have to exist.

We work with skilled Indian artisans -  the people who actually carry this craft - and design pieces with a vintage-inspired femininity that belongs everywhere a modern woman goes. The beading is the same. The tradition is the same. The design is finally different.

Pretty is a feeling. We make it wearable.
